Techno India Group started its journey in 1985 with a vision to deliver quality education in Science, Engineering and Management. It currently has 2 Universities, 22 Engineering Colleges, 13 B-Schools, 19 public schools and 40 IT Training Institutes. The Group has a student base of over 2,00,000 and a rich alumnus of over 1 million spread across the world. Sister Nivedita University (SNU), the youngest University of Techno India Group, is established with the motto of "Education for All". SNU offers degree programmes in various disciplines like Engineering, Science, Management, Humanities, Language and Literature, Sociology, Mass Communication and Journalism, Hospitality and Tourism, Nursing and Pharmaceuticals and many more, and our emphasis on value-based education makes us unique.

The colleges under Techno India Group are committed to empower students with technical and management education. The topics for employability enhancement programs range from etiquettes to more industry-oriented skills like presentation, interview and Information Technology topics like Data, Cloud Computing, Android, Ethical Hacking. The colleges are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). Partnership between IGCHE and TIG & SNU

Techno India Group and Sister Nivedita University is the first Partner University of Indo-German Centre for Higher Education (IGCHE) from Eastern India.

Students enrolled in the B.Tech programmes at TIG & SNU in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering can opt for the Knowledge Collaboration Programmes between IGCHE and TIG & SNU. First 3 years of study will be at TIG Colleges/ SNU and the final year will be at a German University under IGCHE Consortium. On successful completion of the programme at both the Universities, the student will be eligible to receive degree certificate from SNU or MAKAUT (if enrolled in TIG Colleges) and Certificate of Completion from the German University under IGCHE consortium.
